Sutter Creek is small city in the wine country of Amador County.  The trickling filter wastewater treatment facility serves the city and surrounding areas.  Aquality oversees the total wastewater, sewer collection, treatment, and effluent disposal system, managing the various workgroups associated with ARSA, the wastewater treatment facilities, and the sewer collection and conveyance system.  Our services include the initiation and oversight of a program that assists the City in making sound operational and financial decisions while providing optimal and systematic risk management.

The Operations Support team also provides technical support to the O&M team, assisting them with process and maintenance issues, program development and safety, and quality assurance beyond the scope of day-to-day operations.

Aquality provides alternative management for the City’s O&M program. Aquality assists the City with improving the O&M Management processes to improve the performance of the treatment plant and the performance of the City’s O&M staff, allowing the City to provide high quality of service for ratepayers while maintaining lower in-house O&M costs. Our team works as an extension of City staff, overseeing and managing the workgroups related to the wastewater, sewer collection, treatment, and effluent disposal system.  In addition to re-training City staff, improving O&M management strategies, and re-commissioning the facilities, we have worked to integrate the SSMP into the normal O&M workflow activities and manage all reporting activities.  The Operations Support team also provides ongoing technical support to the O&M team, assisting them with process troubleshooting, strategic asset management, corrective maintenance support, SOP updates, standard operator checklists, additional technical training, and updating emergency contingency plans.

By hiring us to oversee and manage their program, the City receives the best of both worlds: lower costs due to in-house staffing of the plant, and high quality service due to the targeted expertise of highly qualified personnel.
